CoC Gold Pass 2026 Guide: Hoggy Bank & Choice Nodes
- Gold Pass 2.0 launched March 1, 2026 — Daily Tasks + Stamp Cards replace the old Season Challenges system entirely.
- Choice Nodes let you pick between two rewards at key track points — unclaimed Nodes default to the first option at season end.
- Hoggy Bank replaces the Season Bank — starts at max capacity from Day 1, pays out with a 5× multiplier for Gold Pass owners at season end.
- Rewards scale by your TH level at season start — upgrading mid-season doesn’t change what you receive.
- Prospector (TH10+) converts up to 2,000 Shiny / 120 Glowy / 2 Starry Ore every 23 hours — no gems, no upgrades.
- Discounts now unlock faster: 10% at 10 & 20 points, 15% Day 4, 20% Day 8.
- Stamp Cards stack and never expire — missing a day doesn’t permanently set you back.
CoC Gold Pass 2026 Guide: Hoggy Bank, Choice Nodes & Everything That Changed
The Gold Pass has been part of Clash of Clans since 2018 — and for most of that time, it worked roughly the same way each month. That changed on March 1, 2026. Supercell rebuilt the entire system from the ground up: new progression engine, new reward structure, new Bank mechanic, and a brand-new Village Helper tied to ore farming. If you played before March and haven’t read the full breakdown yet, the pass you log into today is meaningfully different from what you remember.
This guide covers every major change, how each new feature actually works in practice, and — critically — which parts of the pass deliver the most value depending on your Town Hall level.
Gold Pass 2.0 vs. Old Gold Pass — What Actually Changed
Before diving into how each feature works, it helps to understand the scope of the overhaul. This isn’t a visual refresh — the core mechanics were replaced.
| Feature | Old System (pre-March 2026) | Gold Pass 2.0 (March 2026+) |
|---|---|---|
| Progression Method | One-off Season Challenges | Daily Tasks + Stamp Cards |
| Reward Flexibility | Fixed rewards at each tier | Choice Nodes — pick between two options |
| Season Bank | Upgraded during season via multipliers | Hoggy Bank — starts at max, 5× payout at end |
| Reward Scaling | Fixed amounts | Scales with TH level at season start |
| Village Helper | Alchemist only | Prospector added (TH10+) |
| Silver Track | Mostly Potions | Chests with randomised rewards |
| Consecutive Pass Bonus | 200 extra Season Points | Removed — progression now even throughout |
| Discount Unlock | Later in the season | 10% at 10 & 20 pts — active within first login |
| UI Layout | Compact, multi-section | Full-screen, larger icons, cleaner flow |
Daily Tasks & Stamp Cards: The New Progression Engine
The old Season Challenge system — specific missions tied to troop types or game modes — is gone. Season Points now come entirely from Daily Tasks and Stamp Cards. The design is simpler and, importantly, it’s built around how people actually play rather than chasing awkward objectives.

How It Works
Choice Nodes: How to Use Them Strategically
At specific points along the reward track, you’ll encounter a Choice Node — a checkpoint where you pick between two rewards instead of receiving a fixed item. This is the most player-friendly change in Gold Pass 2.0 because it lets you align the pass with your actual upgrade priorities rather than working around what you receive.
What You Can Choose Between
Choice options vary by Town Hall level and by what point of the track you’re at. Common Choice Node options include different resource Runes (Gold vs. Dark Elixir), different Books (Builder vs. Research), different Magic Items, or — at the very start of the track — Hero Skin options. Higher Town Hall players generally see more meaningful choices.
| Your Situation | Choice Node Strategy |
|---|---|
| Pushing walls | Pick the Rune of Gold when offered |
| Hero upgrades active | Prioritise Dark Elixir rewards |
| All Builders busy | Book of Building over Book of Fighting |
| Lab at max / nothing to research | Avoid Book of Research — take alternate reward |
| Hero Skin choice at track start | Pick the season’s featured skin if you want it — it won’t return on the track |
Hoggy Bank: How the New Season Bank Actually Works
The Season Bank is gone. Its replacement — the Hoggy Bank — works differently in two important ways: it starts full, and it pays more at the end.
The Core Mechanics
Starts at Maximum Capacity
Unlike the old Season Bank, you no longer spend the month gradually upgrading the Bank’s capacity. The Hoggy Bank starts at its maximum size on Day 1 and collects bonus loot from battles throughout the season immediately at full rate.
5× Payout Multiplier for Gold Pass Owners
When you claim the Hoggy Bank at the end of the season, Gold Pass applies a 5× multiplier to the total loot collected. Free players still receive the base amount — the multiplier is Gold Pass exclusive. This is where the biggest loot advantage over the Silver Track comes from.
Scales with Your TH Level at Season Start
Lower Town Halls receive smaller Hoggy Bank totals; higher Town Halls receive larger payouts. The scaling locks in on the first day of the season. Upgrading your Town Hall mid-season doesn’t change what you receive. If you’re close to upgrading, doing so before the new season begins gives you better Hoggy Bank value for the entire month.
Prospector: The New Village Helper for Ore Conversion
Gold Pass 2.0 introduced a second Village Helper alongside the existing Alchemist: the Prospector. He’s unlocked at the end of the Gold Pass track — at 2,400 Season Points in March, adjusted to 2,200 Season Points from April 2026 onward based on player feedback. He’s only available to Town Hall 10 and above.
What He Does
The Prospector converts one type of Ore into another on a fixed cooldown. No gem cost, no upgrade path, no conversion bonus — just a straightforward daily exchange. The conversion resets every 23 hours.
| Conversion Type | Daily Limit | Best Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| → Shiny Ore | 2,000 Shiny | Rarely useful — Shiny is the most abundant ore type |
| → Glowy Ore | 120 Glowy | Most valuable use — convert excess Shiny to close Glowy gaps |
| → Starry Ore | 2 Starry | Slow but useful when Shiny is capped and can’t be spent |

Builder & Research Discounts: When They Unlock
One of the most requested improvements to the Gold Pass was faster access to Builder and Research discounts. Supercell delivered. The new schedule unlocks discounts significantly earlier than the old system — the first 10% discount is reachable on your very first login.
| Discount Level | When It Unlocks | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| 10% Discount (×2) | 10 Season Points + 20 Season Points | Builder & Research costs — active within first login |
| 15% Discount | Day 4 | Builder & Research costs |
| 20% Discount | Day 8 | Builder & Research costs — max discount tier |
Gold Pass Value by Town Hall Level — Who Gets the Most?
Because rewards now scale with your TH level at season start, the value proposition of the Gold Pass isn’t identical for every player. Here’s how it breaks down across the main progression stages:
TH10–TH12 — Entry-Level Value
Hoggy Bank totals are lower at these levels, but the pass still delivers meaningful Builder and Research discounts, Books, and Chests. Choice Nodes appear but with lower-stakes options. Prospector is available from TH10 — useful for Glowy Ore conversion as Common Equipment becomes relevant. Silver Track Chests have a genuine chance at items that can be hard to obtain otherwise.
TH13–TH15 — Mid-Game Sweet Spot
This is where the pass starts delivering high-value Choice Nodes — Rune of Dark Elixir vs. Rune of Gold, Book of Heroes vs. Book of Building — all meaningful given active hero upgrades and wall costs. Hoggy Bank totals are mid-tier but still significant. Prospector Glowy conversion starts to matter as Epic Equipment requirements increase. Dragon Duke becomes available at TH15, making Ore economy more important than ever.
TH16–TH18 — Maximum Return
At the top end, the Hoggy Bank payout is at its highest, Choice Nodes offer the most impactful options, and the Prospector’s Starry Ore conversion — slow as it is — carries real weight for Epic Equipment upgrades. The 20% Builder discount on TH18-level upgrades translates to days of saved Builder time per month. For high-level war players, this is the single best-value regular purchase in the game.
For context on how the pass fits into your broader upgrade sequence at TH17 and TH18, our TH18 Upgrade Priority guide maps out which buildings and heroes to prioritize each month — including when to hold Books vs. use them immediately.
Silver Track vs. Gold Track — Is It Worth Buying in 2026?
The Silver Track (free) received the most meaningful upgrade in this rework. Chests now replace most of the guaranteed Potions that used to fill the free track — they’re random, but they offer real access to Books, Ores, Cosmetics, and other items that free players previously had no path to. That said, the Gold Track advantage remains substantial.
| Feature | Silver Track (Free) | Gold Track (Paid) |
|---|---|---|
| Hoggy Bank | Base payout only | 5× multiplier |
| Stamp Card Bonus | Base bonus points | Extra bonus points per card completion |
| Choice Nodes | Limited | Full track access |
| Hero Skin | ❌ No | ✅ Season skin included |
| Prospector | ❌ Not available | ✅ Unlocks at 2,200 pts |
| Builder/Research Discounts | ❌ No | ✅ Up to 20% |
| 1-Gem Self Donations | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| Silver Track Chests | ✅ Yes (random rewards) | ✅ Yes + Gold Track rewards on top |
For active players who log in daily, run CWL, and care about progression — the Gold Pass remains the best single recurring purchase in the game. The combined value of the Hoggy Bank multiplier, Builder discounts, Prospector access, and Choice Nodes is genuinely hard to match through any other source at the same price point.
